The same scoring model, city by city. London is live and fully verified; the rest are being calibrated against local price, crime and school data before they publish.
Live means every price on the page traces to a primary source. Purchase prices are median recorded sale prices from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, and London journey times come from the TfL Journey Planner rather than an estimate. London is the only city at this standard today.
In progress means the areas, boundaries and guides exist and are worth browsing, but the prices and life scores are still indicative composites being replaced source by source. Use them to compare areas against each other, not as a valuation. .
Coming soon means no area data yet. Those pages are deliberately kept out of search results until there is something on them worth finding, and they will re-enter the index automatically once the data lands.
Each new city starts from a boundary set and a list of neighbourhoods people actually use, which rarely matches official ward names. Prices come next, from Land Registry records for the postcodes inside each boundary. Then the seven life scores, each built from a separate public dataset: police.uk for safety, school performance tables, green space from OS and OpenStreetMap, transport from local operator feeds, and Census data for the diversity and community measures.
The slow part is not the data, it is checking that a neighbourhood boundary matches what residents mean by the name. Get that wrong and every number attached to it is wrong too, however good the source. The data and sources page lists the current status of every dataset, city by city.
